Album Review: Dinosaur Pile-Up - Growing Pains
Leeds trio Dinosaur Pile-Up's debut full-length, 'Growing Pains' jumps head first in the deep end, with their brand of explosive 90's alt-rock inspired sound that could easily be fooled for Nirvana. Nevertheless tracks like 'Birds & Planes' and 'Barce-loner' are loud, rowdy and straight to the point, as their style is one that very loud and does not leave space for much else. Throughout the bands momentum is kept to its maximum pace, as tracks like 'Mona Lisa' and 'My Rock 'n' Roll' are fast-paced and keep that subtle grungy feel to the bands sound going. However the favourable 'Never That Together' is slightly more upbeat, with its Weezer-like guitars and delivery and a hook that shows a slight hint of variation.
Dinosaur Pile-Up Posts New Video
The video for 'Mona Lisa' by Dinosaur Pile-Up has been released.'Mona Lisa' is released on September 27th with an album, 'Growing Pains' to follow on October 4th. Both releases will be through Friends Vs Records.

Single Review Round-Up: The Gaslight Anthem, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Violent Soho, Four Year Strong, Little Fish and The Suzukis
The Gaslight Anthem - The Diamond Church Street Choir/BoxerReleased August 9th
New Jersey's The Gaslight Anthem treat fans to a double A-side with 'The Diamond Church Street Choir'/'Boxer'. Both tracks are taken from the bands recent 'American Slang' record. The former track is a blues-y number, with a struttering guitar that calmly builds up to chilled out chorus, which allows Brian Fallon's words to stand out.
Whilst 'Boxer' is The Gaslight Anthem we know and love; feel-good, punk rock-inspired rock and roll. Driven by clever guitar work and Fallon's storytelling style, its the more favourable then the first track. Nevertheless give an accurate impression of the band and their latest full-length.
