Brody Dalle (The Distillers/Spinnerette) has revealed on Twitter she is currently working on a new record.

Dalle posted the following message:

"It's okay guys , i really don't actually care if i'm verified was just having fun........off to the studio , gotta finish my record already"

Whilst fun. won the best Pop/Rock song award for 'All The Pretty Girls'.

New Found Glory, Fightstar, Sonic Boom Six, Alexisonfire, Madina Lake and The Rakes have been added to the main stage at the Leeds and Reading Festival.


Whilst Manchester Orchestra, You Me At Six, Spinnerette, Broadway Calls, Frank Turner and Dananananaykroyd are just some of the additions to the NME/Radio 1 Stage.

'Baptized By Fire' is taken Spinnerette's self-titled album, which is released on 15th June on Hassle Records.

Hassle Records Sign Spinnerette

Spinnerette have signed a UK deal with Hassle Records and will release the bands self-titled album on 15th June, with the first single 'Baptized By Fire' following on 29th June.

Spinnerette Announce UK Tour

Spinnerette have announced details of a UK tour this July.

The band will play four mainland dates as well as a show in Scotland at Glasgow King Tuts.

Brody Dalle comments on The Distillers split

Brody Dalle (when speaking to NME) has commented about The Distillers splitting up:

'We collapsed and disintegrated, we imploded and told each other to fuck off. It was the end of an era, it was time to let it go. Everyone was tired and burnt out and we just didn't have any more manpower. We just couldn't keep it going. It was a good thing because everyone got to go and do their own thing…it was pretty acrimonious, pretty bitter.'

Dalle's new band Spinnerette are set to return to the UK in May.

Spinnerette Release New Single

Brody Dalle of Spinnerette has release a new single titles 'Sex Bomb.' The release contains a remix by UK electronic/breakbeat artist Adam Freeland, which can be stream on the band's myspace page. 'Sex Bomb' is available digitally, and physically on vinyl. It can be purchased from this link.

Brody Dalle's Spinnerette add another UK date

Brody Dalle's new band, Spinnerette (ex-Distillers), have added another show to their first trip to the UK.

The band will now play in addition Birmingham Academy - February 24th.

As previously, Spinnerette are also due to play London's Islington Academy - February 23rd.

Tickets go on sale Monday.

Brody Dalle's Spinnerette release 'Ghetto Love' EP

Brody Dalle's (ex-Distillers frontwoman) new band Spinnerette, has released their first EP, 'Ghetto Love'.

The band put out the following statement:

'Hey You! How's it going, eh? Ready for the holidays and the fat man in the red suit? We're sure you can't believe that you could be dancing to Spinnerette's new Ghetto Love EP whilst slipping into a hot teddy, oops, we mean sipping a hot toddy. Well you can! Here it is in all it's long awaited glory, we're just as chuffed to pour it into your ears as you are to hear it. We know that usually EPs come after LPs but we thought we'd do it alphabetically for a change 'cos it's only right and natural, and after all, rules are meant to be broken.

Please note that we are putting this out ourselves and that downloading for free, "stealing" will mean that we might not tour as far and wide as we'd like to, due to a lack of funds...and also Santa will steal your Mom away and make her a gift wrapping slave. Ex-Distillers singer/guitarist, Brody Dalle, has announced details of their first UK show next year with her new band, Spinnerette.

The band are due to play London Islington Academy - February 23rd as part of the NME Shockwaves Awards shows.

Brody Dalle talks about Spinnerette's debut album

Brody Dalle has spoken about details of her new band(Spinnerette) upcoming debut album. The record is now finished and is slated for a release in the US in February.

'The state of the industry has pushed us into wanting to put the album out ourselves. I'm not interested in getting entangled into the system. I just got out of a deal and I walked out with my record, thank God, and I'm really grateful for that.

I started demoing with Alain (guitarist of Queens of the Stone Age) after I had my daughter in 2006. I was looking for a place to get my songs out of my head. I wrote a lot of the record on bass and worlitzer and the rest on guitar. One day Alain started writing stuff over my songs and it kind of was kismet - an accidental thing that turned into Spinnerette. And it got more exciting the more we went along. The first song we did was 'Cupid' and then we did 'Ghetto Love' and we both were just blown away.

Being a mother has changed my songwriting. My father died a year ago, and that influenced me as well. It's been like a firestorm the past couple of years…deaths and redemption, salvation, religious themes - it's all in there.'
