The Bigger Lights To Go On Hiatus?
Topher Talley of The Bigger Lights has posted a blog explaining the current state of the band and hints they are taking a break."We have talked about formal ways of saying it, or talking about it or whatever, but its just too hard to describe. The industry & timing really kicked our bands butt and it was so frustrating for all the years we were touring. We came to a point as adults where it just didn’t make sense to continue to approach TBL the way we always had. TBL is no longer anyones priority, but it holds an enormous place in all of our hearts. Its incredibly sad because we (the members) love TBL & its supporters more than anything. We all remain friends and keep close contacts with each other and we still care about each other like a family. We have, and in my opinion, never will dismiss the idea of making more music together at some point, in some fashion, down the line because I really truly believe that our chemistry as a band is something magical, but like i said, it is no longer our full time priority. So please treasure everything that we have released and worked so very hard on creating for all of you because those pieces of art mean more to us than anything (Battle Hymn especially).
As for me personally, I will never stop making music in some capacity (& i’m sure none of the other TBL members will either), its just who we are. We are all in different parts of the country right now with different priorities, but who knows what the future might bring. I have been listening to a lot of pop and country and have been pretty inspired by life, its signs, religion, family, and a wonderful girl, so maybe some great stuff will come out of that.
I really truly miss seeing all of your faces on tour, at shows, and at meet & greets. You all are like family to me and I don’t want that to change. I am sorry it took so long for us to post about anything, but we just didn’t even know how to describe it… i still don’t haha… i’m just doing my best so i don’t keep all of you in the dark. Please keep in contact and keep up with all of us as individuals to see what great things we will do next.
PEACE&LOVE

The Sleeping Announce Indefinite Hiatus
The Sleeping have announced they will be going on an indefinite hiatus. The band have released the following statement:
"We (The Sleeping) are announcing our “Indefinite Hiatus.” We all remain and will remain great friends but the time has come in our lives to explore other aspects as individuals. Chris (Keyboardist) has moved to Colorado. Joe (Drummer) has moved to California while him and Paul (Guitarist) still run their well respected merch company from Paul’s new house on Long Island. Salvatore (Bassist) is the proud owner of an amazing bar and a brand new Vegan/Vegetarian eatery in Seaford, NY. I (Douglas) tend bar at Sal’s place and I have just recently joined a new band that has become my full-time project.
We would like to extend a huge debt of gratitude to everyone who worked beside us and stood by us throughout all of the years. You can head over to http://itsastickupmerch.storenvy.com/ to order the remainder of The Sleeping’s merchandise.
We would also like to share the fact that we’ve been a band for about ten years and we have struggled immensely to get to where we have gotten. We accomplished many amazing things and we did it together as a family. We are proud of the mark that The Sleeping has left and we will never forget the amazing times we have had.
Well, that’s it for now. If you have ever given us a place to sleep or a party to hang at, we thank you. We would also like to thank all of our families as well as all of the bands, friends, fans and newfound family we have met along the way. We owe so much to all of you.
This may not be the end forever… but it’s the end for now."
Hey Monday Announce Hiatus
Hey Monday have announced they have gone on a hiatus.Cassadee Pope made the following statement:
"Hey everyone! Cassadee here. I know since I announced my solo acoustic tour, there has been a lot of rumors and confusion swirling around. I wanted to let you all know that Hey Monday is not “broken up.” We are, however, taking a break and pursuing things on our own. In my case, that is a solo project. I hope you all understand that this does not mean we’ll never release new music or tour ever again. I just felt the need to fill you all in since I’ve gotten a good amount of questions pertaining to this. Me and the guys are still friends and always will be, and this was a decision we all agreed was for the best. I could not have imagined experiencing everything we were able to with a different group of people, our crew included! So we would really appreciate all of your support with this decision. We love you guys and we thank you for everything you’ve done for this band and each one of us individually. We have the best fans ever.
Ps. I WILL be playing some HM songs during my tour!! And also some new material I have been working on. ♥"

Fear Before Announce Hiatus
Fear Before have announced they will be going on hiatus.Guitarist Adam Fisher posted the following statement on Facebook:
"guys. I'm sorry if you have been left with the feeling that we (fear before the march of flames) have been leading you on making you think were working on music. we are not. As of April 2010 goose david mike and I have not been in the same room together with our instruments.
However, until April 2010 I had written quite a few songs for a new fear before the march of flames record with the help of goose. Whether or not we will ever release another record is up in the air right now. There is no immediate plan to write/record/ or tour. this has nothing to do with Orbs, Loom, All Human, or any other project goose or i may be a part of. Its just the way things went.
2009 took a very weird turn for us and it kinda left all of us collectively and individually wondering what the hell we were doing. I truly am sorry to everyone who is anxiously awaiting a new record from us. I'm not saying it will never happen, I just cant say that it will.
We appreciate all you as friends and fans have allowed us to do and the second there is any development in fear before world you will be the first to know. Please feel free to voice your opinion on the matter and i will respond. Just know I truly hate bumming any of you out. It truly wasn't my or our intent for it to come to this.
As far as all human goes, that is where I will be directing my creative energy for the time being. I hope you guys will enjoy that for what it is. Its not a side project or something to keep me busy until something else comes along. it is the music I feel like making and sharing for right now. love you guys. Thank you for your support.
Friends. Do not mistake my previous post for a break up announcement. It was an update letting you know that we are currently inactive and there is no forthcoming record from us as of now. I cannot say what the future holds.
-Adam"

Genghis Tron have announced they are going on hiatus. The band posted the following MySpace blog:
"Hey everybody,
Things have been pretty quiet for Genghis Tron recently, which has led some folks to ask us if we're breaking up. Well, we definitely aren't breaking up, but we have decided to take some time away from the band.
It will be a while before we release another record -- and probably even longer before we play shows. However, this was the best thing we could do to make sure that GT keeps writing some real toe-tappers. Whenever we come back, it will probably be pretty weird and really good.
Thanks for all of the support,
-- Mookie, Michael, and Hamilton"
From First To Last Announce Hiatus
Matt Good (vocals, guitar, keyboard) released the following statement, via Alternative Press:
"Hey guys, just wanted to take a minute to update you all with the current status of FFTL. As of now right now we are basically going on hiatus. Now before everyone starts jumping to conclusions I just want to make sure everyone knows me and the other members of the band are all still very, very close. We have been best friends for years and will continue to be for as long as I can possibly forsee, so I don't want anyone to think this is a result of animosity between them and I. There is nothing but love between us.
This is mostly a decisions based off a changing of times and the desire to start pursuing new things in our lives. This band has been the center of our lives for our entire adulthood to date. Four full length albums and almost 8 years of solid touring later, the urge to see what else we are capable of achieving is almost overwhelming and I feel like there is no better time than now to go ahead and take a leap of faith and see what happens. Just know From First To Last is responsible for everything I have in my life, good and bad, and as far as I'm concerned it will probably continue to exist until I am too old to do it anymore or dead. We love every single person that has ever helped make our dream of being musicians and traveling the world come true. I know without the people who supported us, we would be nothing and I am eternally grateful for everything. Just know we aren't going to let you guys down and we still plan on making music at some point in the future when it makes sense for all of us. For now just keep a lookout for new projects and future endeavors from all of us. Thanks for an incredible 8 years!"
Poison The Well Announce Hiatus
Poison The Well have announced they are going on hiatus.Statement from the band:
"So, after twelve years of being a band, countless tours around the world and records being released, we have made the decision to take some time to explore other interests in our lives. We've all reached a point where we feel like we need to take a step back from the band and pursue other things. PTW has been an all encompassing, full time thing for such a long period that this isn't an easy thing to do. We want to thank everyone who has supported us in anyway, whether it be buying a record or a shirt, to the occasional robbery from time to time. Once again, thanks for everything and we couldn't have done any of this without you."
Love, PTW"
