Album Review: The Great Valley - Ruthless

The opener 'Yesterday' reflects on the brothers past and the struggles that they went through to get to where they are now. With Louis exclaiming, "We're here after all those dreadful years" during the chorus. 'Dreamer' has a really soft vocal melody which completely counters the blistering guitar in the introduction, Louis' soft vocals strangely compliment Nick's harsh guitar strumming on top of Louis' arena sounding drum kit.

Message from the band:
"It is with great disappointment that we have to push back our record until Tuesday, March 1st, 2011. We know it's only getting pushed back a week however between us and our management, countless hours & many sleepless nights were spent trying to have this record released on February 22nd. It is such a disappointment to have to push it back and re-arrange all of the promotion we have already confirmed. Most importantly, we wanted YOU to hear this record more than anything, we truly feel like this is our best work to date, we have really matured lyrically and musically.
With all of this said, we wanted to thank every single one of you for sticking by us, whoever took the time to check us out, comment about us, tell their friends about us, talked shit about us, or even went out of your way to download our music illegally, thank you. Since it's Valentine's Day and the fact that we are pushing back our record, we wanted to give back to you, so for today and today only we want you to have our EP "Wrecking Ball" FOR FREE, just go to www.TheGreatValleyMusic.com and download the record for FREE! Once again, thanks for sticking by us and please continue to support this little dream two brothers from Delaware have because without you our music wouldn't matter.
Sincerely,
Louis & Nick Matos."

"Hey all,
Here is the first peek at what we're up to. We decided to go this route for our first full-length because we have the comfort of writing as we track. Instead of doing a full blown studio album, we are doing it old school with the help of our producer Cody Prang and a MacBook Pro. This record has a very homemade feel to it so hit play and see how we're doing!
Until next time,
Louis & Nick, The Great Valley"
