Fair To Midland Lose Bassist & Cancel UK/European Tour
Fair To Midland have parted ways with bassist Jon Dicken resulting in the band dropping off their upcoming UK/European tour with Evanescence.
The band released the following statement:
"“After seven amazing years of playing with Fair To Midland, our bassist Jon Dicken has decided it was time for him to move on,” the band says in a statement.
“We appreciate his hard work and dedication to the band, we love him, and wish him the best in all his future endeavors. Moving forward, we are excited to continue touring and making music.
“Unfortunately, however, this has resulted in the cancellation of our European/UK dates in November. We want to send our sincerest apologies to our European friends and fans from across the pond. We will be regrouping in the following weeks and in the meantime we thank you all for your patience and understanding.”

He Is We Forced To Pull Out Of All Time Low US Tour
He Is We have been forced to pull out of the remainder of All Time Low's current tour in order for vocalist Rachel Taylor to be treated for medical reasons.

Album Review: La Dispute - Wildlife
“Tell me what your worst fears are. I bet they look a lot like mine”, Jordan Dreyer pines on penultimate track ‘All Our Bruised Bodies and the Whole Heart Shrinks’. And really, this one statement does as good a job as any ever could of encapsulating the whole heart of Wildlife – a staggeringly bold album that guides whoever it touches through a vivid and visceral exploration of humanity.
Where their previous LP 'Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair' was concerned with the turmoil’s of a relationship, 'Wildlife' is concerned with all-encompassing social struggles, though still retains the same sense of personal grief that has permeated all of La Dispute’s releases to date. The consistence and intensity of raw emotion showcased on 'Somewhere at the Bottom...' caused many to critique it for feeling melodramatic to the point of absurdity, so much so that the album warranted its own drinking game, which involves taking a shot for every ‘darling’ and ‘lover’ (better known as a one-way ticket to melancholy en-masse and/or the emergency room for anyone who makes it past ‘Said the King to the River’).

Cartel Forced To Cancel Australia Tour
Cartel have been forced to cancel their upcoming tour in Australia.
The band have made the following statement:
"Hey everybody,
Bad news is never easy to put into simple phrases; but, unfortunately, I must do my best. It is with a heavy heart that we must relay the news that we are forced to cancel our Australian ‘In Stereo’ tour. The promoter we were going through completely screwed everything up and there’s no way to rectify the mistakes that were made in time to make it happen. We had been trying to finalize flights/permits/backline (all of which the promoter was to handle) for over 2 months and only heard from him intermittently (and never with any real information), until recently when we didn’t hear at all. We apologize for all the headaches and bum outs that this will cause and we’re frantically looking for ways to make it up to all our friends in Australia. It’s sad that one person in the chain blew it for everyone involved but it just so happens to be the case.
We’re working out the info for everyone who purchased tickets to get full refunds and hopefully we can schedule another tour soon. In the meantime, we’ll be working on some new tunes and getting ready for the run with Hot Rod Circuit in a few weeks. This is the first time we’ve ever had to cancel a tour and it sucks that it has to be one that we were looking forward to so much but we assure you that it was beyond our control. Thank you all for your understanding and we’ll be distributing more info as it gets to us. Sorry once again.“

Album Review: Hit The Lights - Invicta EP
With an eagerly anticipated full-length album due out in early 2012, Hit The Lights have offered something in the form of a teaser with the three-track ‘Invicta’ EP, a release that unfortunately doesn’t quite hit the heights that the band are aiming for.
Kicking things off with ‘Gravity,’ the first thing that’s noticeable is the sheer lack of production. Everything sounds a bit flat, Nick Thompson’s vocals sound pitchy and weak and the song follows a basic formula that is predictable, while ‘Earthquake’ largely suffers the same fate thanks to the production values gone into the song, where you can clearly see the direction in which Hit The Lights are going. After a few listens, it does get begin to make sense but it never quite breaches the anthemic vibe they’re aiming for.

The Dangerous Summer Possibly Breaking Up?
Nick Thompson of Hit The Lights has made a statement about what he has heard regarding why The Dangerous Summer have dropped off the band's upcoming US tour (and all shows up until December 17th), which insinuates a possible break-up.
"Honestly, there’s not much to it. I got word last night that TDS got in a fight in Chicago and they broke up. Then there was talks of an acoustic set by AJ. That apparently won’t happen and then I see that they’re cancelling all activity until Decemer 17th. It’s the date setting that really gets me you know? Like, “Hey we can’t get our shit together enough to figure out this prior commitment that we backed out of last minute, BUT WE SHOULD HAVE IT FIGURED OUT BY THE GLAMOUR KILLS SHOW!” Nope. That’s my inside scoop."
