Live Review: Man Overboard, Transit, All Or Nothing and Starters - The Flapper, Birmingham 13/12/2010

After eventually finding The Flapper on the other side of a frozen canal, finding a route across the canal was perhaps the hard part, the location isn't perfect and I wouldn't reccomend bands who have come all the way from America play there, but by god, it's by far the best sound quality I've heard in Birmingham and at one of the most intimate venues. If you're ever looking for a good venue to meet like minded people with like minded tastes in music. The Flapper.

Single Review: Kyoto Drive - So Much Alive/Chapters

Kyoto Drive are an Alter The Press! Pick for 2011 and this two song single shows exactly why, filled with catchy hooks and even catchier vocals, this Birmingham pop rock lot, look set to make next year their own.

'Chapters' does take a little while to get going, but once it does it’s worth the wait, as soon as the chorus kicks in you’ll find the melody embedded in your head, and you’ll soon be singing along. From there on in, there is a constant motion to the song that just doesn’t let up and before you know it you’re finished and looking for more.

In anticipation of this likelihood that we will have to continue to cancel or postpone all shows, we have decided to move the entire Home For The Holidays to FEBRUARY 9-12, 2011. Final Crime In Stereo Show Details

Crime In Stereo will be playing one last show on January 14th at the Bergen Point Country Club in West Babylon, Long Island.

The band have given the following message about the show:

"The truly last and final Crime In Stereo show will be at Bergen Point Country Club in West Babylon, Long Island on Friday, January 14th. Just so no one feels kept in the dark, the reason why we regrettably had to turn people away from CIS' Nov 21st show was due to the cops preventing us from letting everyone who'd purchased tickets from entering the venue, which we feel terrible about.

In light of this, we've decided to have one last show. Here's the deal:

- Everyone who had a ticket for the Nov 21st show at Ethical and did NOT get into the show should e-mail CISLASTSHOW@GMAIL.COM to RSVP for the January 14th show by 12 noon EST on January 2nd. If you RSVP by 12 noon EST on Jan 2nd, your ticket from the last show will be honored for the Jan 14th show.

- If, however, you had a ticket for the Nov 21st show and cannot attend the Jan 14th show, please contact the same e-mail address and you get either get a refund or transfer that ticket to someone else.

- AFTER 12 noon EST on January 2nd, we will be selling all remaining tickets for the January 14th show until they're all sold out here: http://liecc.com/.

If you have any questions that haven't been addressed above, please email CISLASTSHOW@GMAIL.COM. Thank you..."
