Artist Vs Poet Vocalist and Drummer Leave
Artist vs Poet vocalist Tarcy Thomason and drummer Joe Westbrook have left the band. Guitarist Joe Kirkland will take over as frontman and new guitarist Dylan Stevens has also been added.
Thomason posted the following statement:
"There is not an easy way for me to start this… This is to anyone who has ever supported me, or Artist Vs Poet. First of all… I truly believe that i’ve come to know, and become friends with, some of the most genuine fans ever. And that is why this is so hard for me to say:
Shortly after the Fearless Friends tour i made the decision to part ways with Artist Vs Poet, i know… I got to the point before i explained myself, well here it is folks. I made my dream come true and married my best friend Heather early last year and also had my first born child Lennon Cody Thomason. This has been the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me, just seeing my wife and baby boy everyday means the world to me, which is why i had to make the decision to stay at home for good. Quitting something that was my life for so many years, meeting such amazing people like (to name a few) Canada, Devin, Brooke, Amanduhhhh, Maddie, Brittni, Laura, Fat Kat, Laura not to mention my new family that i had the pleasure of touring with, and the best label out there, Fearless Records, has has been hard for me…. but i gained so much more, there is no way i could put into words how happy i am. I could not be any more lucky to have the family that i have.
On that note i want nothing but the best for Joe Kirkland and Jason Dean continuing with Artist Vs Poet. I love those guys and hope nothing but the best for them!
In no way, shape, or form done with music. If you would like to keep in touch with me, my family, and new beginnings, stay tuned.
In the words of John LENNON: “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans”
I love you guys and thank you for everything!
Tarcy Thomason"

The Devil Wears Prada Studio Update
Emarosa Pull Out of Bamboozle
Emarosa have pulled out of this weekeneds Bamboozle Festival.
The band posted the following message:
"We are sorry to inform anyone who was hoping to see us at Bamboozle this year, that we will not be playing. We were very fortunate to be added to the line-up and to be a part of the festival in the first place; playing Bamboozle has been something we’ve always wanted to do. In light of recent events, we all think it’s in our best interest to stay home. We have begun to write new songs, and we’re all extremely excited about our progress. I don’t want anyone to think that this is just a matter of us being unprepared, we initially blocked off time to practice for Bamboozle specifically. What started as basic rehearsals, turned into writing sessions that have only progressed more and more. I can personally say I think it’s going much better than any of us had anticipated.
We never want to disappoint anyone, and by not playing it’s inevitable that we will upset some of our fans. But this band is growing, and we’d rather have something new to show everyone. We’re sad we won’t be seeing many friends and familiar faces this weekend; it’s bound to be an incredible time. I hope you all understand, and know that we are very excited for the future.
- Lukas / Emarosa"
Billy Talent Update
Billy Talent have posted an update on their Facebook page, stating the band are currently working on a new album.
The band posted the following:
"Bonjour! Ca Va? Just dropping in to say hello and to see how everyone is doing? On our end, things are going great. We've been in our little cave working away for the last couple of months and things are really starting to take shape! The songs thus far are unlike anything we've ever done before yet it still seems to capture the urgency of our first record. Hard to put in words but the vibe is really special. Anyway we are doing a handful of shows this summer in Canada which we're stoked about but we're getting asked a lot about when we will be officially heading back out on the road. At this point there is no time frame for touring as our main priority is finishing writing and recording this new record! I will promise you that once this beast is ready to come out of its cage we will be touring everywhere for a very very long time! We miss all of our fans but I will say that it will be well worth the wait!
I hope you're all healthy and happy...on a side note if you live in Canada remember to vote on Monday May 2nd! You can't be heard if you don't speak up.
All the best to you and everything you do.
Much Love,
Ben

The Honesty Split Up After Vocalist Departure
The Honesty have parted ways with vocalist Tasha Gilbreath and have announed they will be splitting up.
The band posted the following message:
"It comes with a heavy heart to have to make an announcement such as this today. For personal & health reasons, we've recently decided that it would be best to part ways with our singer Tasha. We wish her nothing but the best and hope she gets better soon.
However, due to the vast amount of other complications that have arisen from this decision, we will no longer be able to play together as a band.
A special thanks goes out to anyone who has ever listened, supported us, or come out to a show. We seriously can't thank you enough for all of your support. This band, this music was our lives, and we're absolutely heartbroken that it ended the way it did. To show our appreciation, all of our songs are now available for FREE DOWNLOAD via Purevolume and/or Facebook.
Please keep in touch and stay tuned for any new projects we might have underway.
Once again, thank you for listening.
We love you all.

Former Man Overboard guitarist Wayne Wildrick has rejoined the band permanently. Wildrick's first show back with the band will at this weekends Bamboozle Festival.
Wildrcik posted the following message:
"Anxiety has always been something I have struggled with and in August I lost the fight. Fortunately enough I have been blessed with amazing friends who ride out for me. This band was my family for many years and I don’t know where I would be in life without it. I would also like to take this time to thank Jesse, Kenmore, Rise, Run For Cover, and everyone else who has supported Man Overboard since day 1. See you at Bamboozle."
Album Review: Ghost Thrower - Get Miserable EP
Ghost Writer play punk music. Hailing from the fruitful land of Boston, these lads are of the "fast, hard and loud" school of thought, and released their own example of this, their EP 'Get Miserable', on April 19th. It opens with a fitting intro('Get Miserable') that serves as a beginner's manual to what's coming next: snare massacre, fast open-chord strumming, gang vocals, pace and drive. All the required elements to kick off with a bang.
'I Never Damned You' is pretty much the organic continuation of the introduction, if not improved by the constant attack of emotionally-unrestrained belting that could draw comparisons to a lighter version of Pianos Become The Teeth. The same could be said with 'For Austin' that bears all the same elements which, to some extent, does become a little repetitive at this point, as it does with following track 'Chemistry Sells'.
