Best Of 2010 - Top 10 ATP! Acoustic Sessions

Earlier this year we teamed up with our good friends over at Chasing Safety Media to introduce more video content to Alter The Press and since the launch of our acoustic sessions, we never thought we would have had the privilege to shoot the likes of Circa Survive, All Time Low, Thrice and more.

We've compiled our top ten favorite sessions of the year (and believe us, it was a hard choice). In 2011, we only can hope to bring our readers more and exciting content like the videos seen below.

Albums Of 2010 - Dan Brown (We Are The Ocean)

2010 has been a superb year for We Are The Ocean with the release (and re-release) of their debut full-length, 'Cutting Our Teeth' on Hassle Records. Followed by a number of tours and festival appearances, including the Slam Dunk and Guilfest Festivals and shows with Hawthorne Heights, Underoath, Madina Lake and Mayday Parade. It has been a year where the band have made their mark at home and abroad.

The band are currently working on their second album and Alter The Press! recently caught up with vocalist Dan Brown, who gave us a run down of his favourite ten albums from the past 12 months.

Alter The Press! - Albums Of The Year: 2010

    10. Athletics - Why Aren't I Home?
    Deep Elm Records

From one of our favourite labels of the past 12 months, Athletics' debut full-length is a radiant journey of stirring emotion that sees the New York five-piece producing a mesmerizing record. 'Why Aren't I Home?' proves to be highly consistent and concludes being one of the most overwhelming and warming records of the year. Outstanding.

Albums Of 2010: Ryan Key (Yellowcard)

Having just completing work on their fourth studio album, 'When Your Through With Thinking, Say Yes', Yellowcard's frontman Ryan Key shares his picks for the best albums of the year.

Key discusses his favourite albums from the past 12 months, including releases from Jimmy Eat World, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

Live Review: Warped Tour 2010 - Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Long Island - 7.7.2010

Far from the punk/skate showcase Kevin Lyman created back in the mid-nineties, the Vans Warped Tour now encompasses the very best (and very worst) of commercial pop-punk and hardcore, packing over a hundred bands onto seven stages in just nine short hours. Long Island and the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum (Essentially the NHL's New York Islanders' car park), plays host to 20th show of the 2010 tour, and for those in attendance, searing heat (accompanied by sickeningly over-priced water) makes for a tough, yet worthwhile experience.

For those who manage to make their way into the venue in good time, Cassadee Pope and Hey Monday are bouncing around on the Altec Lansing stage. The Florida 4-piece deliver their clean-cut poppy sound brilliantly, with closing number 'Homecoming' sending the small yet chirpy crowd away noticeably geed up for the day to come.

Feature: Slam Dunk Festival 2010 Preview

This Bank Holiday weekend, the annual Slam Dunk Festival takes place. This year's event is bigger and better; expanding over four days with events in Scotland and Bournemouth as well as the 2 main festivals in Leeds and Hatfield.

With over 50 bands and artists laying across eight stages, Alter The Press thought it'd be ideal to give you a guide on every band that is playing the brilliant event.

    PREVIEWS:

    - GLAMOUR KILLS STAGE
    - ATTICUS/JAGERMEISTER STAGE
    - KERRANG! UK NOW STAGE
    - RELENTLESS STAGE
    - VANS 'OFF THE WALL' STAGE
    - IMPERIAL STAGE
    - MACBETH ACOUSTIC STAGE & BABYCAKES BAR
